What is The Plan?

The Plan is a comprehensive workplace violence prevention strategy for your business that is designed to support a safe work environment.

How Does it Work?

First, we help you with policy and process

We have put together a robust workplace violence prevention strategy document and associated policies that are available to be customized for your business.  We help adapt these to your company's terms and contacts, and provide you with these drafts to finalize with your internal teams (Asset Protection, Security, Human Resources, Operations & Legal... and if you do not have all of those, that's OK, we've got you covered with options).

Next Comes  Your Initial Training & Awareness

We provide you with a cadence of online training courses, presented in short nuggets of learning, as well as awareness materials that include posters for your location, leader guides for management to lead discussions on various workplace violence topics, and job aides that can be printed and distributed to each employee.

Our welcome package provides several courses for you and your teams to start your journey with:
Course 1:  Welcome to The Plan - an introduction to your new workplace violence prevention plan, with details on what to expect and what is included.
Course 2:  What is Workplace Violence?  This course details the four commonly defined types of workplace violence and encourages all employees to work together and to speak up if they see or suspect something.
Course 3:  Handling Situations of Conflict - The Basics   This course comes in two parts to allow you to break up the learning of these basic skills that promote professionalism and positive engagement in the workplace.

Each of these courses are accompanied by an 8.5"x11" poster, a Leader Guide with management talking points, and a Job Aide for each employee.  All printable materials are also available in both English and Spanish (with additional languages available), and the videos are available with both English closed captioning and Spanish subtitles.

But it Doesn't Stop There.... We Provide Monthly Training and Awareness Material Throughout the Year

  • Each month, every location is provided with access to new awareness materials with a different area of focus related to workplace violence, including (but not limited to) the 8.5"x11" poster, a Leader Guide with management talking points, and a Job Aide with key performance reminders for each employee.
  • Bi-monthly (every other month), in addition to the monthly awareness materials, a new video is released, with related support awareness materials, on a new workplace violence topic, keeping the conversations going, keeping them relevant, and keeping the topic of workplace violence prevention top-of-mind, increasing awareness and further building the necessary skills to help support your teams in the event of an incident or emergency.

Employee Participation and Feedback is Key and is Encouraged in All Materials

Every employee should have the opportunity to have a voice and share input and feedback in their company's Plan.  We provide links with all materials, and reminders, to encourage employee participation by providing input on existing materials and Plan content, as well as ideas for new topics or scenarios for future trainings!  Some states require that the company Plan be available at the request of an active employee, and we can help facilitate that as well.

Incident Reporting, Workplace Violence Incident Logs, and Post-Incident Follow-up - Yup, we've got you covered there too!

While many businesses already have an incident management system that they use today to capture details about incidents that happen in or around their locations, if you don't have this already for workplace violence incidents, threats, and hazards - we provide that as well.  Some states require this information not only to be tracked, but for incident logs to be available both to employees as well as to certain state government officials.   We can help provide you with Workplace Violence Incident Logs for each location, and provide forms for guidance on how to follow up with a post-incident investigation and action plan to help prevent future incidents.

It's Pretty Comprehensive, Right?

That's THE PLAN!
